Travel and tourism is a social right which concerns all European citizens.
However, it is estimated that over 40 million Europeans do not take holidays.
For those with some form of disability, many of the existing tourism Travel offers

access for tourists with disabilities is to provide information on the
existing tourism facilities which can meet their demands and expectations
satisfactorily. The Commission has carried out a study
on how to improve information on the accessibility of tourism facilities
for disabled people. As a result of this, an information sheet has
been designed which will make it easier for people in charge of facilities
to provide essential information which will help disabled people take
informed decisions about their travel and holidays. The information sheet,
and how to fill it in, will be published later this year, but is available
now on the web-site. |
